I never cared about the jellybeans. I usually picked them off and threw them away. But even so, the nests aren’t the same without them. I don’t think that’s the only thing they changed though. The proportion of coconut to chocolate is off or something. They taste different. I’m very unhappy.
Came across this blog when I googled the eggless coconut nests issue – isn’t the internet wonderful for finding people with the same niche issue?
In any event, I am also upset about the missing beans and started a facebook group called “A Coconut Nest Without Jellybeans is Just a Flat Haystack.” If you are on facebook, please feel free to join our group and tell others to do the same. I did write Russell Stovers and told them that we had 86 members.
Thanks!
Am wondering the same thing! The nests were much better w/the jelly beans and I looked forward to having a few again this spring.
